The Synchronised Swimming section had also been working towards the ASA National Age Group Championships, which were held in Gloucester from the 2nd – 4th December. Chelmsford City Swimming Club sent two teams, S.Frostick as acting Head Coach and L.Bird as a National Judge.

The 12 and under team, E.Palmer, L.Ulyatt, C.Wilkins, M.Heij, G.Randall, J.Hepworth and H.Blythe came 22nd in the Country- a brilliant achievement for the Club and all of the girls! The Combination Team was a compilation of music from the musical Matilda and the girls swam the routine to the best of their ability. This is the first time a team of under 12’s has represented the Club and Region at this level.

The 19 and under combination routine was swam by E.Jennings, L.Leinemann, A. Leinemann, H.Chandler, J.Chandler, G.Harman, A.Cook, L.Jones and M.Card-Gowers. The team came 13th and swam incredibly well with some impressive lifts and synchronisation.

This is the second time this team has represented Chelmsford City Swimming Club at National Level and we are so excited by their progress and look forward to the future of this team of girls.
