About Our Club

Chelmsford City Swimming Club was established in 1906 and is unusual in offering all of the major aquatic sports with the exception of Diving. We are focused on competitive success in Swimming, Masters, Water Polo and Artistic Swimming but also offer sessions providing for those who want to train for fitness rather than for competition in our Just Swim section.

Across all of our three major competitive disciplines we have teams and swimmers that have had success at County, Regional and National level, and have nurtured and developed athletes who have gone on to represent both England and Great Britain.

Our main training pools are Riverside Leisure Centre and Moulsham High School, but we also use other pools from time to time.

We offer training for all age groups, and have members from age seven to those that remain physically active into their seventies and eighties. We are professionally run by active volunteers, and for those that feel their enjoyment of aquatic sport is enhanced by becoming actively involved there are ongoing opportunities to support the work and organisation of our Club.
