Club Kit & Hats

Club Kit

Only Club branded hoodies and tops are to be worn poolside at all competitions, together with plain black/blue shorts or tracksuit bottoms or leggings. Fashion shorts, trousers or jeans are not allowed on poolside.

You can only order Club kit direct from Wyvern Swimwear , which they will deliver to you directly.

When ordering please check sizes carefully as they use European sizing and this is slightly smaller than UK sizes, which means generally you should consider going up a size.

If requesting personalisation on any items please ensure that you do not put your swimmers full name, only first name or surname.

It is recommended that athletes have a couple of Club tops as they do get wet and it is important to stay warm when at an event all day.

All the details, including how to order, timescales and measurements, are on the Wyvern Swimwear website. If you have any queries, please email clubkit@chelmsfordcityswimmingclub.org.uk before placing your order.

Club Hats

When representing the Club at a Competitive Swimming competition you must wear a Club competition hat, which is Royal Blue with a White Logo. These can be purchased via your Club Organiser account.

We recommend that you always have several of these with you at each competition as they do break and the last thing a swimmer needs is to try and borrow someone else’s hat just before their race.

The Club also has a number of different hats in various colours, as detailed below. You will be given one hat upon joining that squad, any further hats that you need can be purchased via your Club Organiser account.

Rinsing your hat and ensure that it is thoroughly dry inside and out after each use will help prolong the life of it.

Main Squad – Pink Hat.

Academy (stages 8, 9 & 10) – Lilac Hat.

Competition Hats

Upon qualifying and representing the Club at the following competitive swimming competitions swimmers will be given one hat. Thereafter replacement or additional hats can be purchased via your Club Organiser account, if there is sufficient stock available.

These hats may be worn only for training purposes, and not at a competition, when the Club competition hat should always be worn. However, if you are in a squad that has a specific-coloured training hat, as detailed, above please only wear your squad hat for training.

Essex Age Group Qualifiers – Red Hat / White Logo

This is for the events that are usually held in January / February each year and the Club aims to provide first time event qualifiers with a hat a few weeks after entries for the event has closed and the list of swimmers who have entered the competition is published by Essex Swimming.

A hat is currently not available for Essex Winter championships qualifiers.

East Region Age Group Qualifiers – White Hat / Blue Logo

This is for the events that are usually held in April / May each year and the Club aims to provide first time event qualifiers with a hat a few weeks after entries for the event has closed and the list of swimmers who have entered the competition is published by East Region.

A hat is currently not available for East Region Winter championships qualifiers.

National Qualifiers – Gold Hat

Swimmers will only be given one gold hat, the first time they qualify and represent the Club at a National Event.

There is no spare stock available to purchase a replacement gold hat so make sure that you look after it.

Competitive Swimming – Training Kit

Swimmers in the Competitive Swimming Squads will also require some kit to use during their training sessions – please ensure everything is named.

Training kit should be brought poolside to all sessions and includes:

  • Goggles (at least two pairs, in case one breaks).
  • Plastic water bottle.
  • Wet kit mesh bag.
  • Kickboard.
  • Pullbuoy.
  • Fins/Flippers (not Development squad).
